PORT KLANG: The Port Klang Authority (PKA) board, on the basis of preliminary and provisional view obtained from its advisers, will withhold all payments to Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB), pending the completion of the full review by a task force that had been established to look into the legal and financial matters of the controversial Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) project.

(雪蘭莪‧巴生)巴生港務局主席拿督李華民表示,經過當局董事部開會討論後,今日(週二,6月30日)決定暫緩支付6億6000萬令吉款項給Kuala Dimensi有限公司(KDSB),直至巴生港口自由區調查報告出爐為止。據瞭解,巴生港務局原定於6月至7月,必須支付這筆龐大款項,給KDSB旗下的4間公司,包括SpecialPort Vehicle Berhad、Transhipment MegahubBerhad、Valid VenturesBerhad及Free Zone CapitalBerhad。早前,這4家公司為巴生港口自由區製造專用交通工具。

PETALING JAYA: The Port Klang Authority (PKA) has clarified the issue of a letter dated May 10, 2008 from the Transport Minister to the then Prime Minister.PKA chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng said the letter, on the finalised principal sum under the main development agreement, was not included in the audit report because the report had already touched on the same matters in its section on the board’s deliberations.
