PORT KLANG: At the risk of legal action, the Port Klang Authority (PKA) will not pay RM660 million to turnkey contractor Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd for the RM4.6 billion Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) project, pending a review of the findings of a special task force probing the controversial project.

PORT KLANG: The Port Klang Authority (PKA) board, on the basis of preliminary and provisional view obtained from its advisers, will withhold all payments to Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB), pending the completion of the full review by a task force that had been established to look into the legal and financial matters of the controversial Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) project.

（雪蘭莪‧巴生）巴生港務局主席拿督李華民表示，經過當局董事部開會討論後，今日（週二，6月30日）決定暫緩支付6億6000萬令吉款項給Kuala Dimensi有限公司（KDSB），直至巴生港口自由區調查報告出爐為止。據瞭解，巴生港務局原定於6月至7月，必須支付這筆龐大款項，給KDSB旗下的4間公司，包括SpecialPort Vehicle Berhad、Transhipment MegahubBerhad、Valid VenturesBerhad及Free Zone CapitalBerhad。早前，這4家公司為巴生港口自由區製造專用交通工具。

巴生港务局今日以专案小组仍未完成检讨报告为由，暂缓支付6亿6000万令吉予自贸区的一揽子承包商Kuala Dimensi私人有限公司（KDSB）。

港务局主席李华民发表文告说，董事部根据接获的初步意见议决，在专案小组完成全面检讨之前，暂缓缴付KDSB总额6亿6000万令吉的款项。

（雪蘭莪‧八打靈再也）巴生港務局主席拿督李華民週一（6月22日）澄清，普華永道公佈的稽查報告，並沒有包括交通部長於2008年5月10日寫給當時首相的信。他發表文告指出，這是因為普華永道已經把關於巴生港務局研究和通過主要發展工程合約（普華永道報告中的DA3）中的最後一筆款項列入相關報告中。

PETALING JAYA: The Port Klang Authority (PKA) has clarified the issue of a letter dated May 10, 2008 from the Transport Minister to the then Prime Minister.PKA chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng said the letter, on the finalised principal sum under the main development agreement, was not included in the audit report because the report had already touched on the same matters in its section on the board’s deliberations.

KUALA LUMPUR: Port Klang Authority (PKA) chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng yesterday defended Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat against accusations by the opposition that Ong was an accomplice to the ballooning costs of the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).

THE Setia Badminton Academy (SBA) will continue to organise age group competitions as part of its grassroots development programme.For the third consecutive year, SBA organised the SP Setia badminton championships, catering for two age groups for girls and five age groups for boys, at the SBA in Setia Alam recently.

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government will go ahead and appoint a state executive councillor to the Port Klang Authority’s (PKA) board of directors although the move is not welcomed by PKA chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng.

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Lee Hwa Beng has hit out at DAP veteran leader Lim Kit Siang for quoting from an anonymous blogger that his tenure as Port Klang Authority (PKA) chairman had lapsed on Feb 15.
